The Christoph Blocher collection: a panorama of masterpieces of Swiss painting

The Pierre Gianadda Foundation, Martigny hosts a highly anticipated exhibitionChristoph Blocher Collection: Panorama of Swiss Painting Masterpieces.

Visitors will be able to see a rich collection of works (over 130 paintings), put together by Christoph Blocher, one of the most passionate admirers and collectors of Swiss painting.

Bernese painter Albert Anker features prominently in his collection with meticulous realism, while the peaceful landscapes of Lake Geneva by Ferdinand Hodler represent another forte. Added to these names are the names of Alexander Calame, Giovanni Segantini, Robert Zunda, Felix Vallotton, Giovanni Giacometti, father of the sculptor and artist Alberto, Ernest Bieler, Adolph Dietrich, Cuno Amier and many others. The itinerary for visiting the exhibition is divided into separate sections that cover different topics and genres: landscapes, portraits, still lifes, etc.
