The Hermitage Foundation Museum in Lausanne hosts an exhibition
"Art and Cinema".
The exposition illustrates the mutual influence of painting by artists of the 19th-20th centuries and cinematographic art.
With an emphasis on the visual arts, the exhibition brings together excerpts, posters, and film layouts with leading sculptures, drawings, photographs and paintings. The creations of the Lumière brothers, Camille Pissarro, Fernand Léger, Fritz Lang, Charlie Chaplin, Pablo Picasso, Luis Buñuel, Nicolas de Stael and Jean-Luc Godard, to name just the most famous of them, echo and create a unique atmosphere.
