Arkella Museum hosts an exhibition
Winslow Homer: Illustrator.
Visitors will be able to see a collection of drawings and prints by the master, incl. a number of illustrations for children's publications.
Homer began his career as an illustrator for Harpers during the Civil War. After the war, the artist continued to prepare materials for publication, including a number of illustrations for children's stories and poems. This exhibition explores Winslow Homer's skill as an illustrator and early work with print publications, shedding new light on how this influenced his later work.
