Swoon: Seven Contemplations

Albright-Knox Art Gallery hosts an exhibition"Swoon: Seven Contemplations".
The exposition presents large-scale sculptural installations and objects that make up a bright and meditative environment in the gallery space.
Caledonia Curry, known in the art world as Swoon, strives to create works of art that not only bring aesthetic pleasure, but also help overcome mental discomfort, contribute to emotional and physical healing. The artist gained popularity in the early 2000s by painting deep, sensual portraits. A decade later, Swoon's work includes paintings, sculptures, collages, installations for museum and gallery spaces, as well as numerous social projects.
