Artists at the machine. Art after the revolution

Exhibition February 27 − April 18, 2021
The State Tretyakov Gallery and Victoria Gallery present an exhibition project “Artists at the machine. Art after the revolution ".

The basis of the exposition is the painting of the artists of the circle of the "Society of Easelists" (OST) and the groups of projectionists, concretizists and others that preceded it (A. Deineka, K. Redko, N. Luchishkin, A. Labas, A. Tyshler, S. Nikritin, etc.) ... Adjacent to them are replicas of self-stressed sculptures by the constructivist Karl Ioganson, made within the educational program of the Victoria Gallery.

The exhibition is dedicated to the searches of Soviet artists of the first decade of Soviet power, when art was faced with the problem of self-determination, identifying itself as proletarian.
