personal exhibition of Nikolai Koshelev “The Moon Pool. Archive".
“The Moon Pool. Archive ”presents the work of the fictional artist of the early XX century Alexander Zilverhof. The project tells about the unrealized theatrical production of the Diaghilev seasons, which determines its multimedia character, as well as the system of symbols and images repeating and rhyming with each other, referring to the aesthetics of the "World of Art" circle.
The archive of works of the fictional author presented in the project of Nikolai Koshelev includes more than 100 works: sketches of scenery, fragments of scenography, background curtain, ceramic casts of characters, plot sketches, libretto text and other materials.
Nikolay Koshelev was born in 1987 in Moscow. Graduated from MGHPA them. S.G. Stroganov in 2010 with a degree in monumental and decorative art and in 2014 with a master's degree at the New York Academy of Arts with a degree in artist-painter. In 2014 he was nominated by the Dedalus Foundation in the direction of Painting.
