Giovanni Bellini: landscapes of faith in Venice of the Renaissance

The Getty Museum for its visitors organized an exhibition of one of the most influential artists of the Renaissance "Giovanni Bellini: landscapes of faith in Venice of the Renaissance".

Exquisite landscapes of Giovanni Bellini are as much characters of his paintings, and religious themes and subjects that dominated Italian art of the XV-th century. Attained enormous recognition during his lifetime, he worked in Venice and around it. And although his landscapes are very metaphoric, they also accurately reflect the topography of the region. This creative technique is unprecedented in the history of Italian painting of the time.
