Louvre invites you to visit the exhibition
“Lux. Ten thousand years of luxury ".
The exhibition invites viewers to travel through time and geographic space, combining moments of intimate contemplation and more monumental viewing, offering each of the more than 100 works on display the most appropriate space for delight and understanding.
The chronological and thematic route opens two iconic places that are usually closed to visitors: Hall of 1900 - a living memory of the World Exhibition in Paris, commissioned by the museum to glorify Art Nouveau and French decorative arts; and the Salon Boiserie, an exhibition of other masterpieces of European decor, including the incredible Venini chandelier exhibited in Paris in 1925.
