From May 2 to May 30, the Primorsky State Art Gallery presents an exhibition "Great art of the" Little Dutchmen "" from its collection.
The exhibition of Western European art introduces beautiful examples of 17th century Dutch painting, represented by almost all genres: portrait, battle and everyday compositions, still life, landscape. The art of this period is distinguished by vivid realism, the desire of artists to convey the unique flavor of the life of their people, who created the world's first bourgeois state. These are portraits of enterprising burghers full of cold arrogance, and seascapes charged with air and light, and still lifes fascinating with skill and magic of symbols. The relatively small collection of "Little Dutchmen" in the collection of the Primorsky State Art Gallery allows the viewer to get a completely complete and reliable impression of the peculiarities and originality of the art of bourgeois Holland in Western Europe of the 17th-18th centuries.
No age restrictions.
