The State Tretyakov Gallery in the halls of the New Tretyakov Gallery presents an exhibition
“Socialist Realism. Metamorphoses. Soviet art 1927-1987 ".
A large-scale exposition of works of Soviet art, the starting point of which was the ROSIZO archive, which includes not only canonical examples of socialist realism, but also outstanding works of the 1920-1930s, testifying to alternative artistic searches.
Visitors will see works by Alexander Deineka, Boris Golopolosov, Ekaterina Zernova, Alexander Labas, Viktor Midler, Nikolai Terpsikhorov, Dmitry Nalbandyan, Vera Mukhina, Lev Kerbel, Jan Osis and others from the funds of the ROSIZO State Museum and Exhibition Center, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum, the Historical Museum, Museum of Contemporary History of Russia and many others. In total 30 participants, 220 works.
