The Albertina Gallery presents a retrospective of one of the brightest and most influential contemporary Austrian painting authors, Ksenia Hausner
"True lie".
The exposition consisted of large-format paintings, the creation of which the author begins with complex spatial scenery-installations, and then closely intertwines the element of painting, photography and collage technique.
Ksenia Hausner's choice of motives and fields of view, fragmentation, general montage, lighting implied by the colors used - all this contributes to the atmospheric quality of her paintings. Hausner's scripts remain cryptic and annoying. Like snippets of a story that are comparable to footage from movies that have gone missing, they defy clear interpretation.
