The Barbera Institute of Fine Arts invites you to visit the exhibition “Sketching. Dutch and Flemish drawings from the royal collection ".
The exhibition explores the function and purpose of drawing, as well as its importance for the profession of an artist. For the first time in 25 years, such a rich collection of drawings is presented in one place.
The project explores the methods and materials used, as well as the various ways in which artists found inspiration for drawing - whether it be observation or memory, or something in between, which allowed artists to blur the differences between real life and imagination.
