The State Historical-Art and Literary Museum-Reserve "Abramtsevo" invites you to visit the exhibition "Robert Falk. Elisabeth Potekhina.".

The exhibition is dedicated to the works of Robert Falk, who stated, "The hardest thing is to want right and to think right. That's what it's all about. Then you don't even need to know how to do it... The most important thing in art is not the method, but the personality.
To create good things, do you have to learn to dream them? Robert Falk believed that this was a prerequisite for fine art. True, he did not like the term "fine art. He equated painting with architecture and sculpture with the plastic arts. Appreciated the so-called "inner material", or the "ability of the visual and plastic perception. The artist's worldview is well underlined in his portrait, painted by Elizaveta Potehina.

Yelizaveta Sergeyevna Potekhina (1883-1963) was a fellow student of the artist at the School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, and his first wife. Exhibitor of exhibitions of the society "Jack of Diamonds". In the early 1910s she gravitated toward the neo-premitivist style of painting.
