The Arsenal State Center for Contemporary Art and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts present a large-scale exhibition
"Shukhov. The Formula of Architecture".
The opening of the exhibition is timed to the 800th anniversary of Nizhny Novgorod and the 125th anniversary of the All-Russian Industrial and Art Exhibition, which was a triumph for Vladimir Shukhov.
The exhibition will show more than 200 exhibits from Shukhov's creative archive from Russian and foreign collections - drawings, models, manuscripts, photographs The engineer's archive will enter into a dialogue with the achievements of modern masters of architecture - Norman Foster, Fray Otto, Werner Zobeck and others - who decades later rediscovered mesh and lightweight structures. A comparative approach allows us to appreciate the scale and significance of Vladimir Shukhov's discoveries.
