Paula Rego. Retrospective

Exhibition July 7 − October 24, 2021
Tate Britain invites you to visit the largest and most comprehensive a retrospective by artist Paula Rego.

The exhibition brought together over a hundred works: paintings, large-scale pastels, ink and pencil drawings, collages and prints.

The exhibition tells the story of the artist's extraordinary life, highlighting the personal nature of much of her work and the socio-political context in which it is rooted. The exhibition reveals a wide range of the artist's genres, from comics to historical painting. Since the 1950s, Paula Rego has played a key role in the redefinition of figurative art in Britain and abroad.
