Dream Collecting: Odilon Redon

Exhibition September 19, 2021 − January 23, 2022
Cleveland Museum of Fine Arts invites you to visit the exhibition "Collecting Dreams: Odilon Redon".

The exhibition will showcase Redon's most important and extensive collection outside of France, including his pastel masterpiece Orpheus and his recent acquisition of the museum, the drawing Quasimodo.

Odilon Redon was known as the "prince of mysterious dreams" for his enigmatic and imaginative paintings, drawings and prints that combined fantasy, literature and the subconscious. The Cleveland Museum of Art was one of the first American museums to collect works by this revolutionary 19th century French artist.
