Artplay Design Centre holds an exhibition
"Bosch. Professor of Nightmares.".
At the multimedia exhibition visitors will see a real carnival of the painter's terrifying and simultaneously alluring images, and Cinema360 technology allows visitors to feel inside Bosch's famous triptych "The Garden of Earthly Delights".
Strange, incomprehensible, frightening are the epithets most often used when referring to Bosch's works. All the superstitions and fears that plagued medieval man, found flesh in his works. It is not by chance that the Garden of Earthly Delights, depicting mankind trapped in its sins and imbued with the atmosphere of the age, became a symbol of the Middle Ages. Bosch is said to be the author of some 30 works, but only seven of them are signed by the author. None of the paintings have a title assigned to them by Bosch himself. They were all invented by later researchers of his works. About his life even less is known - he came from a family of hereditary artists, married well, had no children, was a member of a religious organization - the Brotherhood of the Virgin Mary. Who was Hieronymus Bosch?
