Roy. To the 60th anniversary of Alexander Roitburd

Odessa Art Museum is hosting an exhibition "Roy. To the 60th anniversary of Alexander Roitburd".
On 14 October Alexander Roitburd, director of the Art Museum, would have turned sixty. For this anniversary the museum has prepared a large-scale exposition called "Roy", the exhibition features 28 paintings by Roitburd, video art, installations, and about 70 archival photographs from the family and private collections.
The exhibition focuses on the early period of Alexander's work, in the 1980s and 1990s, when he not only tried his hand at various kinds of art but also actively shaped the artistic community in Odessa and all of Ukraine. He was a demiurge of artistic life at all times, collaborating, disputing, quarreling, putting up with, but in any case being reckoned with.
