GEOMETRIC ABSTRACTION

I paint geometric abstractions on canvas.
He was born in 1956 in Tiraspol, where Mikhail Larionov, one of the founders of abstractionism, was born.
After high school in 1973, I went to Moscow to study at the Maurice Thorez Institute of Foreign Languages, to the translation department. I got in with adventures, and I won't go into it further, because further on... further on my life was like a movie; but like a movie, let's scroll through it very quickly.
Let me just say that in the early nineties I lived in England and took a semester's worth of art history classes at Kingston University as a free student. Wherever I went, wherever I went, the first thing I did was to look at fine art in museums, galleries, and churches, and gradually over the years I developed what is known as an obsession.
At that time I built a collection in which the core were the graphic works of Soviet nonconformists.
So when the time came for me to become an artist myself, even though I didn't understand very well how to paint and what a picture should be, I already had a very good understanding of what a picture should NOT be, and that helped me a lot.
My paintings summarize my life experience in an extremely concentrated abstract form, summarizing the most fundamental properties of man, nature and the universe, and the thoughtful viewer will feel it all.
