GOING BACK TO THE ROOTS

Boris Oshkukov's exhibition "Return to the roots" is filled with deep symbolic meaning. Veliky Novgorod is the place where the artist spent his childhood and youth, where he worked as a doctor. The land of Novgorod nurtured his strength and creative power, becoming one of his first sources of creativity. The echoes of the ancient art of this land can be felt in many works of the artist: in the curves of the lines of his wooden sculptures, upward aspiration, spiritual richness, enclosed in abstract forms. Novgorod origins are also reflected in the titles of the artist's works.
