Pissarro. The Father of Impressionism

Exhibition February 18 − June 12, 2022

The Ashmole Museum, Oxford holds an exhibition "Pissarro. Father of Impressionism".

There are 120 works on display, 80 of which are by Pissarro and 40 by his friends and contemporaries, with eight paintings on display for the first time.

The exhibition draws on the collection of the Ashmole Museum, the world's largest collection dedicated to the Impressionist painter, revealing intimate and fascinating details about Pissarro, his artist friends and relatives. The project aims to show the master's amazing creative force that drove modern art forward and without which there would be no Impressionism.
