The ALBERTINA Museum dedicates an extensive solo exhibition to the Italian-American
neo-Expressionist painter Francesco Clemente.
The exhibition includes works from the Jablonka Collection as well as key works from the Albertina Gallery's collection.
The exhibition focuses particularly on Clemente's self-portraits and his inseparable journeys, which can be traced in works created around the world. Impressions and experiences, stories and myths are also clearly visible in this artist's work, alluding to their important role for him as an individual in all his multifaceted manifestations.
