Vladimir Yankilevsky. The incomprehensibility of existence

Moscow Museum of modern art presents the exhibition "Vladimir Yankilevsky. The incomprehensibility of existence.". Project specially prepared for the 80th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Yankylevsky, but unfortunately, the master was not destined to survive only a few months.

The exposition includes more than 200 works of Russian and foreign public and private collections and from the artist's family collection. Many of the works the General public will see for the first time. Among the exhibits - paintings and drawings of different years, triptychs, albums, the so-called "automatic drawings" and the accompanying texts of the curators. The artist with great enthusiasm participated in the preparation of the exhibition, unfortunately it was his last project.

The project of the new Museum includes six thematic sections begins with the earliest works of the author — chamber of figurative sketches of the late 1950s, painting and pastels. The section titles speak for themselves: "Space of experiences", "Anatomy of feelings", "Mutants", "City-masks", "Illusion of freedom", "Creative laboratory".

The Exhibition "Vladimir Yankilevsky. The incomprehensibility of existence" is the first in Russia large-scale exhibition of the master over the past decade and a part of the program the INSTITUTE for the study of creativity by major Russian artists.
