“Alexander Florensky. Kiev and Odessa ABC " - This is part of the author's series of "illustrated city portraits." Each of Florensky's “alphabet” is landscape sketches of city toponyms for all the letters of the alphabet of a local language.
In 2017, Kiev and Odessa also joined the Jerusalem, Tbilisi, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Montenegrin and New York alphabets. The exhibition in the Edukatorium presents 66 illustrations from these two books.
Alexander Florensky was born in Leningrad in 1960. He graduated from the Faculty of Ceramics LVHPU them. The fly In 1985 he acted as one of the organizers of the Mitki artists group. Took part in many international film festivals (1993 - 1999). The author of illustrations to the cult three-volume book by Sergey Dovlatov. Together with Ivan Sotnikov in 2004 created the Society of art and painting lovers. In 2008, together with Dmitry Bugayenko, he founded the B & F manual printing studio. The works of Alexander Florensky are in the collections of the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), the State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), the State Museum of Fine Arts. Pushkin (Moscow), Kiasma (Helsinki), the City Art Museum (Helsinki), as well as in private collections.
