Vadim Bondero. Chronicles of future races

In project"Chronicles of future races" the famous Odessa artist Vadim Bondero interprets the contradictions and paradoxical metamorphoses of our world through the prism of aesthetics of metamodernism. The author connects different directions and trends of modern art, ranging from social realism, the Soviet avant-garde and ending with American pop art, minimalism and postconceptualism. In his works he quotes many works of the XX - XXI centuries in his author's interpretation.

Bondero seeks a balance between the naive ideological position of modernity and the ironic aspects of postmodernism. Thus, the project combines enlightened naivety, pragmatic idealism and moderate fanaticism, balancing between "irony and sincerity, design and deconstruction, apathy and attraction."

In this project, an objective image of the future of humanity is formed by the collision of various images, meanings and their cultural transgression. In other words, this project is a kind of melting pot in which both close and opposite things can mix, combine and interact, giving birth to updated images of the future of our world.
