Shaman spirit

Since childhood, the future shaman has been tormented by dreams. The child dreams of animals or mythical creatures. Often they hunt him, catch him, eat him. This is repeated from night to night until the initiation of the shaman.

Traditionally, the destruction of a shaman's body in a dream is associated with its renewal. The old body perishes, but the new one - adapted to the perception of the world of spirits - takes its place. Having been defeated for several years in a row, the offending animal begins to serve the winner in a dream. Often, later it becomes his guardian spirit.

A guardian spirit is a spiritual being who serves and protects the shaman. This is his source of strength, this is his second self.
