Yale University Art Gallery (YUAG) is an art museum on the Yale University campus in New Haven, Connecticut.
Founded in 1832, when patriotic artist John Trumbull donated over 100 paintings from the American Revolution to Yale College and designed an art gallery building.
The museum's collection, which has expanded with donations from wealthy university alumni, now has over 185,000 objects dating back to ancient times, and includes such well-known masterpieces as Van Gogh's Night Cafe.
