The Vologda regional art gallery

The Vologda Regional Art Gallery (VOKG) was created in 1952 on the basis of the art department of the Regional Museum of Local Lore, opened on February 12, 1954. The only picture gallery in the area.

The gallery collection includes works by prominent Russian and foreign artists: J. Dow, V. M. Vasnetsov, M. V. Nesterov, M. A. Vrubel, A. N. Benois, A. A. Borisov, M. P. Klodt , N. A. Klodt, A. I. Kuindzhi, K. Ya. Kryzhitsky, I.K. Aivazovsky, I.I. Levitan, S. Yu. Zhukovsky, V.V. Vereshchagin, I.E. Repin, V D. Polenova, M. Kh. Aladzhalova, I.P. Bogdanova.

The paintings of Vologda artists D.T. Tutunjan, V.N. Korbakov, G.I. Popov, Y. Yu. Kryzhevsky, A.V. Panteleev, C.I. Markin and others are presented.

A total of 28 982 storage units, of which 27 894 items of the main fund.
