Mordovian Republican Museum of Fine Arts. S.D. Erzi opened on January 10, 1960.
Over the years, the museum has made a great contribution to the development of the culture of Mordovia, contributed to the revival of national art and is currently one of the major cultural centers of the Volga region.
The museum's collection currently has over 15,000 items. Russian art, contemporary Russian, arts and crafts, the art of artists of Mordovia - the best works are in a permanent exhibition, which is annually visited by more than 60,000 people.
