The oldest St. Petersburg artist. Born in 1925 in Leningrad. Three decades of creative work allotted to him by fate, the artist created a series which is today already well-known works such as the series "Watchmakers" and "White nights". A large part of the heritage of the artist is now kept in the largest museums of the country.
From 1937 to 1941 he was engaged in art school at the Russian Academy of arts. In 1942 was evacuated to Rostov, Yaroslavl region.
From 1944 to 1948 he studied at the Leningrad higher art-industrial school named after V. I. Mukhina at the Department of masters almaney painting. From 1948 to 1950 he worked in the State restoration workshops as an artist-restorer of wall paintings.
In 1956 graduated from Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture named after I. E. Repin in the decorative theatre workshop by M. P. bobyshov.
Since 1956 - member of the Leningrad branch of Union of artists of the RSFSR.
