Mikhail Petrovich Tsybasov born November 18, 1904 in the town of Velikiy Ustyug in Vologda region. The first creative work of the artist was to participate in joint collective work of Vilanova to design costumes and scenery for a production of "the Inspector General" N. The basis of the content of the paintings was based on the dramatic events in the life of Northern villages during the civil war. Tsybasov chose to work acute in social terms the story of the surplus.

The picture brought the young wizard fame. She has exhibited in such notable exhibitions of the time, as "Modern Leningrad artistic groups" (1929) and "Artists of the RSFSR for 15 years" (1932, RM). The artist went in 1929 to Karelia in one of the buildings of those years, the Kondopoga hydroelectric power plant. As a result of his trip was created two picturesque version of the "Kondostroy" and a series of graphic works on the same subject. They were exhibited in 1934 in Petrozavodsk in the exhibition of Leningrad artists "Karelia in art". The most difficult for the artist was the 1930-ies - the time of silence and persecution. In 1967, after his death, more than eighty paintings and graphic works of M. P. There was donated to the Museum of fine arts of the Republic of Karelia by his widow.
