Graduated from art Studio of the Moscow city House of pioneers (V. A. Voronin). After graduating from high school (1950) entered the Moscow engineering-building Institute. Kuibyshev, but left it and enrolled (1954) at art-graphic faculty MGPI im. Potemkin, where he studied with A. M. Barkalova and B. M. Nemensky. Since 1952 engaged in the art Studio House builders under the leadership of B. M. Rybchenkova. Upon graduation, was distributed in Smolensk, where in sgpi opened art-graphic faculty. Along with elchaninova(see), and by V. Leskinen (see) actively participated in the development of Smolensk's art faculty, where he taught until 1971 Since 1962 he has participated in regional, zonal, Republican, all-Union art exhibitions of Smolensk painters in Moscow, Poland, Germany. Personal exhibitions in 1983, 1992, 1994, Smolensk, Russia, in 1993 - in Roslavl. From 1972 to 1981 - in the composition of the Board of the Smolensk organization CX, its Executive Secretary. Supervised the work of young artists of Smolensk. A. works as a painter, mainly in the genre of thematic paintings and portraits.
