Born may 16, 1912, in the city of Bryansk.

At the end of the 1920s he studied in the Studio of J. S. Hasta, Bryansk.

From 1933 to 1939 he studied at the Repin Institute of arts in the workshop of I. I. Brodsky. Studied at the Mikhail Bernstein, P. S. Naumov, A. M. Lubimov, V. S. Serova. Received a Diploma with honors on graduation. Thesis "the Date of Lenin and Stalin".

Participant of exhibitions since 1930.

Member of the Union of artists since 1940.

The exhibition of his works took place in 1959 in Vologda. Taught at Repin Institute of arts in 1939 and 1941 and from 1942 to 1961gg. Professor of the Leningrad Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture named I. E. Repin (1961-1989). Wrote of paintings on historical-revolutionary theme, portraits, landscapes, genre scenes. The style is distinguished by a commitment to the tradition of the academic school. Had mastered the technique of drawing.

Works of the artist are in the Tretyakov gallery, the Russian Museum, in many regional museums and in private collections in Russia and abroad.
