Benediktovich Benediktov

Born June 8, 1944. He graduated from the Moscow art school of memory of 1905 in 1967, apprentice T. I. Selvinsky engaged academician V. Ryndina and M. Kurilko. In 1973 graduated from the Moscow art Institute. V. Surikov. Debuted at the Kirov youth Theater. Worked with philosophically significant drama (the Life of Galileo Bertolt Brecht, 1975). In this early work delineated the signs of his artistic handwriting.

Turning to fairies, he is able to find serious tone. One of the best theatrical artists of Russia, he designed more than 100 productions. His decorations were carried out performances in the Bolshoi theater, the Moscow art theatre, the Maly theatre, Sofia National Opera, the City theater in Reykjavik (Iceland), Ramtha (ex. The Central children's theatre).

1996 - people's artist of Russia.

1985 laureate of the State prize of the RSFSR.

In 1973 graduated from the Moscow art Institute im. V. I. Surikov. In 1973-77, he taught at the Moscow art school of memory of 1905. In 1977 he became the main artist of Theatre of the young spectator in the city of Kirov, where he developed his creative collaboration with Director A. V. Borodin. Among the performances, decorated in Kirov - "the Young guard" by A. Fadeev, "the snow Queen" by E. Schwartz. Since 1980 started to make also plays the Central children's theatre: "Three fat men" by Yuri Olesha "Forgive me" V. Astaf'eva, etc. Since 1985 - the chief artist of CDT (currently the Russian academic monogeny theatre). Also works in other theaters in the country and abroad. Among the productions in the CCC (Ramta): "Les Miserables" by V. Hugo (this statement brought the artist the title of laureate of the State prize of the RSFSR), "King Lear" by William Shakespeare, "Berenice" by J. Racine, "the captain's daughter" by A. Pushkin, "Great expectations" by Charles Dickens, "the Martian Chronicles" by R. Bradbury, "Erast Fandorin" B. Akunin, "Yin and Yang" Akunin, "Lord of the flies" by W. Golding. Among the productions issued on other scenes: "Thumbnails" to the music of Alfred Schnittke at the State academic Bolshoi theatre of Russia, Napoleon Bonaparte" T. N. Khrennikov in the theater "Kremlin ballet", "the Elder son" by G. Gladkov and Verdi's Otello. Verdi at the Moscow academic musical theatre. K. S. Stanislavsky and VL. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko.

Member of the Union of artists of the USSR (1977) and the Union of theatrical figures. Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts. The constant participant of all-Union, all-Russian and Moscow scenographic exhibitions, exhibited his sketches abroad.
