Born 10 (22) Dec 1877 in Palekh. Hereditary icon painter. In 1887-1893, he studied in the icon painting workshop.GN M.Safonova. Member of artel of ancient painting since November 1, 1925 to 1928. Died 5 APR 1944, buried in Palekh.

Themes of works: literature, genre scenes, battle. Participated in exhibitions since 1926. A. I. Blokhin are stored in museums: gmpi, Umgeni, PIM, SHAMS, OC Ivanovo, Nizhny Tagil Museum of fine arts, Kursk regional art gallery, the Russian Museum of A. S. Pushkin "Moika 12", Pushkin House Museum.
