Born in the village Timofeevka in Shuya district of the Ivano-Voznesensk province. Member of the Union of artists of Russian Federation since 1950. Honored artist of the RSFSR (1974). From 1935 through 1940 he studied at the Palekh art school. Teachers - A. V. Kotuhin, N. M.Parilov, N. M.Zinoviev. Since 1940 he worked in the Association of Palekh artists. The participant of the great Patriotic war. Was wounded. For many years he headed the artistic Council. In 1956, he taught the technique of Palekh miniatures of Palekh art school. Buried in Palekh.

Was engaged in monumental painting, book illustration (the book of Oles Honchar "Perekop" (1962)), restoration (frescoes in the cathedrals of the Moscow Kremlin (1947), the Trinity-Sergius Lavra (1946-1955), Lacquer study of Monplaisir in Petrodvorets (1955-1959)) theatrical scenery (the play "Red dyavolyata" Moscow drama theatre. N. In.Gogol (1960-1961)). Themes of works: folklore, genre scenes, revolutionary, Red Army, three. Participated in exhibitions since 1946.
