(1859-1939) a Painter, teacher. After graduating from Petersburg. AH (1887). In 1887-95 taught at St. Petersburg. Drawing school. In 1895-1917 Director of the Stroganov hood.-prom. Uch-schA in Moscow. After the revolution he worked in Kiev for the protection of monuments of art and antiquities, and later Director of the Vladikavkaz hood.-prom. in-TA, then – Moscow. College of handicraft industry. From 1925 he lived in Paris, 1925-30 organizer and hands. Hood.-prom. in-TA. Author of genre paintings and watercolor works.

Student of the Academy of Arts from 1878 to 1887 he Received the silver medal: 1883 - 2; 1884 - 2 and 1; 1885 - 1. In 1887 he received 2 gold medal for the programme "St. Irene cures St. Sebastian," and the title of class artist of 1 degree in painting historical. Director of the Moscow Stroganov school of technical drawing. Chamberlain of the Imperial court (may 6, 1914) (Kondakov)

The Director of the Museum of Emperor Alexander III, the vowel of the Moscow city Duma, the vowel of the Moscow provincial Zemstvo Assembly. Buried in the cemetery of Sainte-geneviève-des-Bois.
