Worked in the field of decorative arts. Known as an art critic, author of numerous books on various aspects of the fine folk of the Ukraine and Moldova.
An important component of creativity of D. Goberman associated with interest in Jewish art, or more precisely, to the old stone carved tombstones. Taken they search, research and study of the tomb steles allow us to preserve for posterity many of the disappeared monuments.
In the publications, as materials of the photo exhibitions held in Saint-Petersburg, Moscow, Kiev, Kishinev and new York, stands a huge, previously almost unexplored reservoir of Jewish ethno-art culture.
