Student of the Academy of Arts from 1878 till 1888, Received medals: 1880 - 2 silver; 1883 - 2 silver; in the same year he graduated from the scientific course; 1884 - two 1 silver; 1887 - 2 gold for the program "Priam begging Achilles to give the body of his son Hector". In 1888 - 1 gold medal for the program "Socrates in prison before you die" and the title of the artist 1st degree. In 1889 was sent overseas pasionara.
