He studied at the Academy of Arts (1883 to 1888) with M. K. Klodt; traveled to Russia as a pensioner of the Academy. Awarded medals (1884 - 2 and 1 silver; 1885 - 2 silver; 1886 1 silver), has the title of class artist 1-th degree for the painting "Oaks". Participated in exhibitions since 1887.. he painted landscapes, mostly lyrical. For the landscapes "Before the storm" (1893, RM) and "coast of Normandy" (1893) received from AH the title of academician. From his works, particularly known: "View of Mishor, near ay-Petri in the Crimea" (1888), "Before the rain" (in the Museum of Alexander III ), "Water mill", "Winter in France" (in the Tretyakov gallery). Works are in the art Museum of the Uzbek SSR, Chuvash resp. hood. gallery, state Russian Museum, Resp. Hood. Museum of S. O. ASSR, Sverdlovsk picture gallery, Voronezh region Museum Fig. arts, Krasnodar hood. the Museum etc.
