Thesis in the CVC - "Chapaev" rating - excellent. The training took place at the faculty of painting, awarded the title of artist of painting.

[R. 21.12.1907(3.1.1908), Nevel, now Pskov region], people's artist of the BSSR (1964). Member of the CPSU since 1939. He studied at the Vitebsk art College (1926-30) and the Academy of arts in Leningrad (1930-37) in A. A. Osmerkin. From 1938 working in Belarus. In 1948-50 the Chairman of the Board of the Union of artists of the BSSR. Multi-author thematic paintings on the history of the struggle for Soviet power and the great Patriotic war, as well as portraits and landscapes. Works: "the Entry of the red Army in Minsk in the 1920s" (1940; not preserved); "a hero's Funeral" (1946), "defense of the Brest fortress in 1941" (1950), "Constantine Zaslonov" (1957), "Requiem" ("Oath of Ilyich"; 1970) — all in the Art Museum of the Byelorussian SSR, Minsk; the triptych "My Republic in the fires" (1963-67). Awarded 3 orders and medals.
