Biography and information

Born on 16 January 1937 in Leningrad. At the world children's drawing competition in Delhi received the first prize of Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru (group 15-16 years). He graduated from the secondary art school and the Leningrad Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture named I. E. Repin.

Worked as an artist and the main artist in various theaters of Lithuania. After returning to Leningrad, worked as chief designer at the Drama theatre named after V. F. Komissarzhevskaya Academic Comedy theatre, from 1981 to 1989 — at the Academic theater of Opera and ballet named after S. M. Kirov ("Eugene Onegin", "Queen of spades", "Swan lake," "Giselle"). Participated in the production of over 150 shows, including a Moscow theater "Contemporary", "na Maloy bronnoy", named after K. S. Stanislavsky and in theaters in Kiev, Baku, Minsk, Tallinn and Poland.

The most fruitful collaboration was with Peter Fomenko and Yuri Temirkanov. Active in the theatrical poster, his work was repeatedly noted at international exhibitions, was included in the albums best posters, some of them purchased by museums. Honored artist of Russia.
