Landscape painter, master of still life. He graduated from the higher art school at the Imperial Academy of arts in St. Petersburg, a student of renowned artist-peredvizhnika A. Kiseleva. 1 Nov 1901 received the title of artist for the painting "birch grove".

Lived in Tomsk since 1906, became a founding member of the local Society of arts, a regular participant of exhibitions. He taught drawing at the Tomsk Teachers ' Institute. His archive is kept in the Museum.
