Born in 1924 in the village Kusur Rovenskogo district, Chita region)
Honored artist of the RSFSR (1977), people's artist of the RSFSR (1984).
The Participant Of The Great Patriotic War. He studied at the Omsk art school. V. A. Vrubelya (1939-1941), at the Irkutsk art school (1946-1949), then in the Riga state art Academy of the Latvian SSR (1949-1955). His teachers were E. F. Calnan, V. I. Kozin, O. E. Skulme, A. A. Skride.
His works are in museums in Ulyanovsk, Belgorod, Orenburg, Saransk, Cheboksary, Irkutsk, Cherepovets, etc., as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
