People's artist of the RSFSR (1974). Member of the Union of artists of the USSR. He graduated from the art faculty of VGIK (1943, workshop of Boris Dubrovsky-Eshke). The first work in the movie "Duel". More than 50 years working for the Gorky film studios. Teacher fighting positions, since 1982 — Professor. The Laureate Of The State. prize of the USSR (1952 for participation in "Donetsk miners", with P. Galadzheva); the laureate of the State. prize of the RSFSR (1971 — the film "Crime and punishment").
