(01.07.1927, Leningrad). Russian draughtsman and printmaker. Worked in etchings, woodcuts and linocuts. Master of watercolors and drawings. Born into a family of artists. He studied at secondary school of fine arts in Leningrad. After the evacuation, he continued his studies at the Moscow secondary school of fine arts. Worked as a printmaker in etching workshop in Leningrad. Since 1954 a member of the artists Union of the RSFSR. The main theme of the works of urban and rural landscape, still life. A significant portion of its leaves is dedicated to Leningrad, he knew, loved, and countless times painted, wrote and portrayed in the engraving. Usually, these landscapes of Leningrad – black-and-white. But in some cases, when the artist wanted to emphasize the festive character of the portrayed, he was introduced to color. Leningrad in his works different and solemn, and everyday, Leningrad gorgeous ensembles and the modern new suburbs. But he always strict, harmonious, beautiful. Also the wizard sees and suburbs of Leningrad, which for him is like a continuation and conclusion of its beautiful monuments (buildings, squares, promenades, monuments).
