Sologub Leonid Romanovich

Born in the city of Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai. He studied at the school from 1902 – at the architectural Department of St. Petersburg Academy of arts under L. Benoit. In 1910 he received the title of artist-architect and overseas pensionerstvo. Performed a series of competition of architectural projects which have won various awards and was implemented. Was friendly with M. Larionov. In 1912 and 1913 he participated in the exhibitions "World of art" (member of the island from 1918) in Moscow and St. Petersburg. In 1912 he founded at his Studio, the Association of painters, architects and sculptors "Workshop of three arts", which entered the Union of artists and was officially registered in 1917. With the beginning of the first world war he volunteered for the front, was awarded the George cross. Published front-line sketches in the magazine "Niva". In 1916, held in the halls of Academy exhibition of sketches and drawings "the war". From 1919 he traveled to China, Japan (held a personal exhibition in Tokyo), Ceylon, India, Greece, Italy, visited Constantinople. In 1922 returned to Holland and settled in Hague. In the same year he exhibited in the salon d'automne types of Constantinople and held a personal exhibition in the gallery R. Duncan in Paris. In 1930 participated in a Large exhibition of Russian art in Belgrade in 1932, in the Exhibition of Russian art in the gallery La Renaissance in Paris. In the Hague, has been active in art activities, held personal exhibitions. Exhibited in the Paris salon of Independent (1928 – 1930). More than 350 works are kept in the Pushkin Museum.
