Moscow painter, author of genre scenes, portraits, landscapes, winner of the Stalin prize (1951). Born 6 Feb 1914 in Ivanovo-Voznesensk.
He studied at Yaroslavl art College (1931 - 1935). In 1942 he graduated from the Moscow art Institute. Surikova. During the war, along with other students-graduate of the Surikov Institute, he lived in evacuation in Samarkand where he created a number of ethnographic works. A member of the Union of artists of the USSR since 1945.
After the war he worked in Moscow. Solo exhibitions (1946, 1947, 1950) in Moscow. As part of a team B. Johanson participated in the creation of the painting "Lenin's Speech at the III Congress of the Komsomol" (1950, The State Tretyakov Gallery). In 1960-e years with his wife, artist Nora Levinson traveled to the country. Together they have created a series of wonderful impressionistic Baltic works, mostly beach scenes and seascapes.
Works of D. Tegin are found in many art museums around the country, including the State Tretyakov Gallery and in private collections in Russia and abroad. Died D. K. Tegin in 1988 in Moscow.
