Russian graphic artist, member of artists ' Union, honored art worker of the RSFSR, doctor of arts, honorary worker of higher education, Professor, member of Petrovskaya Academy of Sciences and arts, head of the Department of easel and book graphics, St. Petersburg State art-Industrial Academy. Stieglitz, Master of sports of the USSR in mountaineering.
Born November 26, 1928 in the town of Konstantinovka, Donetsk region of Ukraine. In 1950 he graduated from the painting Department of the Dnipropetrovsk art school.
In 1951, arrived in Leningrad. From 1953 to 1960 he studied at the graphic Department of the Academy of Arts named after I. E. Repin in the Studio of easel graphics of Professor, people's artist of the RSFSR A. F. Pakhomov.
His graduation work was a series of etchings "the Climbers", which he defended with distinction.
In 1964 he graduated from. Worked at the Leningrad College of industrial arts. V. I. Mukhina since 1963.
For a series of etchings "the Caucasus in 1942-1943" on all-Russian exhibition "On guard of peace" in 1965, Moscow was awarded a diploma of the Union of artists of the first degree, the diploma of the Minister of Defence.
In 1971, in collaboration with the people's artist of the RSFSR, Professor V. M. Zvontsov, wrote a book called "Etching". In 2004 the book was reprinted again.
In 1984 he defended his thesis "Color etching and his artistic means." PhD.
More than 45 years engaged in teaching activities. Vice-Chancellor for academic Affairs of the University, for 25 years headed the Department of drawing higher school of industrial art to them. V. I. Mukhina, in 1992, created more than 20 years headed the Department of easel and book graphics of SPb GHPA them. A. L. Stieglitz.
Engaged in creative and research work. Author of a number of teaching programs and developments, articles and textbooks. Invented a new etching press. Managed creative teams of graphic artists on the creative bases of the Art Fund of the USSR, 20 years was a member of the Union of the Expert Council on the chart when HF USSR. Participant of art exhibitions in Russia and abroad. The most significant artist's works are represented in museums around the country.
Died December 11, 2015. Buried at the Smolensk cemetery in St. Petersburg.
