Calve

Russia • 1882−1913

(1882.1.III – 1913.11.II) the First teacher in the art of Peteris Kalve was his brother Karlis, Calve.

In 1899 – 1902 he studied at the art school B. bloom in Riga and parallel to the register for the Studio of V. Purvitis.

In 1902 – 1904. p. of private Calva studied with painter Yu Clover.

He later studied in Berlin under L. Corinth (portrait painting) and V. Listikov (landscape painting), and also in St. Petersburg museums copying the works of masters.

In the exhibitions of P. Calva participated since 1904. Memorable exhibitions are organized in Riga (1913, 1982), and Jekabpils (1982, together with K. Kalve).
